It looks like I may be re-installing the forums tonight. If this does happen note that any posts, new members, or anything else created after Sunday may be lost. I will, of course, try to avoid this - but nothing's certain at this point.

Hopefully it'll be all fixed tonight!

Okay, here's the deal.

The forums work. However, user registration is spotty and logging out appears not to be functioning. Additionally, read posts continue to be marked 'unread'.

We are working on these issues and hope to have them fixed tomorrow. There may be additional unannounced downtime of the forums while we get it all set up.

To help speed up the process, your help would be greatly appreciated. If you have experienced any of the above problems, please email forums@chrisrankin.com with a description of the problem as well as any error messages you may be getting. Thanks!

The forums are now back online and should be working better than ever. We have added a new feature to the forums - 'Report this post to a moderator'. It's pretty simple to work - just click the "!" button in the upper right of the post and it will be added to a reports list that the moderators can then take a look at and take appropriate action. If you have any questions about the upgrade or that feature in particular, go ahead and PM me and I'll see what I can do.

[edit: still have some errors, am working on them...]
