chat and more :: posted by on 31 July 2002 @ 9.33pm :: Comments (4)

Noel from DarkMark sent me the chat transcript from Chris' recent webchat there, so I've posted it in the interview section. Check it out here!

Chris is co-directing a summer concert with DOSYTCo of music from various and assorted musicals. Performances are on August 23rd and 24th at Dereham Memorial Hall in East Dereham, Norfolk. If you'd like to attend, tickets are available at the door or by phoning 01362 693 832. Hope some of you can make it!

Just a quick announcement:

If you see a user on LiveJournal by the name of Chris_Rankin posing as Chris, please note that this is not actually Chris but rather a very bad impostor. Please don't give this attention-seeker any gratification from this (ie. don't visit their journal and don't contact them); even negative attention is considered good to people like this. Thanks!

we sure did! :: posted by on 31 July 2002 @ 3.31am :: Comments (2)

I am back, and am starting to sift through the fan mails right now. It seems that the web chat yesterday went quite well; a transcript of that will be up soon. A big welcome goes out to all of the new visitors from DarkMark.com - hope you all stick around!

goodbye pt. 2 :: posted by on 22 July 2002 @ 4.16am :: Comments (11)

Well-travelled me is leaving again, this time for a jaunt to California to visit the relations. I should be back on the 30th; in the meantime, no fan mail will be forwarded, so you'll have to be patient. The forums are still (as always!) modded, so you can't burn them down or vandalise them in any way! :D

Speaking of the forums, we are very pleased to be announcing something very special in the next week. Check the Chris forum often to hear about an exciting new event involving the Muppet Supreme himself - there should be an announcement thread as soon as the event is confirmed.

more email issues :: posted by on 8 July 2002 @ 6.38pm :: Comments (1)

It seems that a lot of the "special" email addresses (for the forums, fan mail, feedback, pictures, etc.) have not been working - if you sent something into those in the past few days (this inlcudes fan mail!) you should probably re-send it. Hopefully everything will start working properly soon...

If you sent email to any address @chrisrankin.com in the past two days, please re-send it as they have all been lost. This includes fan mail as well. Once again, sorry for the inconvenience.

server outage :: posted by on 5 July 2002 @ 11.17pm :: Comments (2)

Our service provider just notified us that our server hard drive just died, and our site was re-uploaded from the backups they had made last Friday. This means that some of the forum posts and forum usernames were lost, probably permanently.

If you registered on the forums after Friday the 29th, please re-register. Sorry for the inconvenience!
