Has anyone seen Chris's reaction to Book 7? It's been out for almost 3 weeks now and I've not heard a peep regarding his opinion.

lol yea give the guy a break. On Emma's official site she's said she's finished it and loved it, but that doesn't mean they've all read it.

boooooooooooo to slow readers!

I've now also read the American edition. no major differences that I could spot straight off, aside from the chapter illustrations and a slightly different font.

On a further note, JK's finished this series after 10 years, but she's never been given an honorary doctorate for literature. come on universities, step it up!

Yeah, when I go to England next year (crosses fingers) I'm sooo picking up a British copy of HP. Are any of the other books different from the American versions? Because I'll probably get the one that's the most different. :geek:

I think there's only two English versions out there, the english version, and the american version.
We get the English version in Australia, though I hear than Canada gets the American covers with English spelling. That may be a myth, though.

Well according to IMDB.com the last Harry Potter book is set to theaters in 2010 with most of the original cast, "Daniel", "Emma", "Rupert," and "Tom". As far as I know I believe the rest of the regular cast will remain in the 2010 film. The 6th book is set to release sometime next year, most likely in the summer or late fall.

Are they different?

The first is the most different, with a decreasing number of changes each book. For instance sorcerer's stone and philosopher's stone as an obvious one, jumper and sweater, a few missing pieces of information. In book 3 you hear Sirius had vault 711, stuff like that.

Really? That's pretty nifty. Yeah the word jumper is so weird, because I'm used to it meaning those dress-type things. I used to wear them as a kid. And teachers wear them all the time...So when I read that, or hear Ginny say that in movie 2, I have to remind myself it's a sweater, not one of those....funny to think of hp characters wearing one of those, haha.
