I've been rereading the Harry Potter books in preparation of OOTP and DH, but I did read a supplemental HP book called Looking for God in Harry Potter. It was fascinating! So many things (Christian and generic), clues, subtle hints... just blew my mind!

Definately. I saw the movie before I read the book too- there's a nice few extra little snippets, and the diary format is the best setting for the story (being Bridget Jones' Diary and all) and makes it just hilarious. A definate chick read when you want to kill off a few brain cells.

I think we might have had a discussion about the book at one point or another, long long ago. My English teacher suggested it to me for an "assignment" (he just thought I'd enjoy it) and I ended up keeping the school's copy, so it's all covered with the school stamp on it and everything. I'll get my own copy one day, I swear!
I also think I'd make an awesome three part BBC mini series. (there's just a certain style you get out of bbc series that would just suit it well, I think) ;)

Isn't it about surviving a nuclear bomb?

Yeah it's basically about the aftermath of a nuclear war. IMHO it's good except for the ending, which was pretty weak.
Bartender, pour us a dirty martini and keep them coming. This is vintage Jackie Collins and we'll be here till closing.

but I think my next book to read will be Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

When is Germany's release date of HP? Will you have to wait?

I am on such a Chuck Palahniuk kick right now. Mainly because my best friend went to a book signing in Boston and and met him and got her picture with him on his website. So now after reading Survivor I read Lullaby and then I picked up Invisible Monsters and Diary today. He signed her book with "Stacy has rabies". I still need to read Fight Club.......
