I think 400-500 px wide sounds like a pretty fair size.

Been testing out the new camera lately. Still have quite a bit to learn, but fortunately I can use Photoshop to somewhat make up for my lack of skill, haha! Here're a few highlights...

That's pretty neat! There are lots of great opportunities to showcase your photography on the net. I would recommend diving into microstock, if you haven't. There are tons of sites out there - I sell on iStockphoto.com, but there are plenty others around (ShutterStock, I think, is one). It's got all the fun of having your photos be recognized online somewhere, with the added bonus of occasional money to go along with it!
