Hi all!
I am posting this from a pay computer in the hostel I am staying at... it is far superior to the one Hannah and Pen and I posted to at the bus station in January (it has a REAL KEYBOARD W00)!
I shall be logging in every morning if I have time to give you the full report of my time here. Yesterday, I got in kind of late so I just wandered around and took pictures with my pirate bendy, Slappy Cromwell. So far he's been in photos with a very lifelike Christopher Lee standee, black rider, some random Ghostbuster dude, Warhammer action figures, an *interesting* restaurant menu, Jack from Nightmare Before Christmas, and loads more!
Today I shall be (if time permits) dropping by the Comic Books to Film panel to say hi to a friend of Chris', Chase Masterson. From there my Neil Gaiman stalking shall commence - I might even try and get some video!!! With my trusty pirate friend Slappy at my side, I shall brave the waters of the Comic Con and frighten as many celebrities as humanly possible!
If anyone has decided at the last minute to go, I shall be working off and on at the Dreamworks Shrek 2/Sharkslayer booth. Come say hi, and I'll give you a free Shrek 2 temporary tattoo! (Ok, you got me, they're free to everybody)
Anyway, wish me luck on my stalking excursions today! Ta-ta, me hearties!

Lynn,
I forgot to tell you in my PM, but if you have a chance to drop by the Inkworks booth and you do see Anthony (Well, since the other guy there is Lou Ferrigno, I'm sure you'll be able to tell them apart ), he said he's giving away free goodies to anyone who mentions anthonycistaro.com. And since you have actually visited my website and forum... .... you would certainly qualify.
What else did you get to see today, Saturday? It's the craziest day of the con.

When is he at the booth? I will stop by there tomorrow and certainly mention it if he's there.
I did say hi to Chase, and yes, Chris, she does know who you are, and I got a picture of her with my pirate.
But on to the important things. Rather, the important person. NEIL GAIMAN. Hoo boy.
Yesterday I went to the MirrorMask panel (it's a movie written by Neil Gaiman and directed by Dave McKean for Hensons, so in other words it rules). I happened to be sitting in the second row RIGHT in front of him, and there was a bit of downtime before it began. The girl next to me and I convinced ourselves to go up there and say hi and tell him how cool he was; let me just say that I never knew I could say that many words without breathing, and my string of celebrity scarings has definitely continued! But he was super super nice and posed for a picture with my pirate and my life was complete.
I'll be doing a writeup on MirrorMask for CountingDown, which will hopefully be posted on Monday (and if it isn't I'll try and get you all a sneak preview). Let me just say this: Give the pair of them $4 million and they will turn it into f-ing 50.
Anyway, so I thought I had it pretty good yesterday. But today, holy crap.
It started off with the WB footage, including the PoA stuff. Which was utter crap. It was Dan Radcliffe and Alfonso Cuaron telling the audience everything we already knew about the films (and no, Quidditch was not cut...). AND NO FOOTAGE! Gr.
After that I ran off to the Spotlight on Neil Gaiman panel, where he was speaking and being generally hilarious. Then I went and got in line for his signing... I was about #10!!!!! I got to talk to him again and I apologized for being so scary and he told me he thought I was funny and he signed my book and I got a better picture and I gotta go time is running out on this terminal cya

The Van Helsing footage, on the other hand, was simply amazing - and I'm told that Spider Man was awesome as well. We also saw the new Matrix trailer, which was cool but only about half new, and a really (unintentionally) funny trailer for a movie called Torque whose tagline included the term "Hyper-Real".
When my time runs out on this terminal I am off to Neil Gaiman's TWO HOUR reading - he's doing a bunch of stories that haven't been published yet. I am thrilled to have a ticket and will post the report on that when I get home Sunday night or on Monday or something.
Tomorrow I am attending the Trailer Park Reloaded (which should have some fun things, I hope) and a Neil Gaiman/Dave McKean panel (but of course!). It probably won't happen but I would love to have my Neil meeting streak continue for a third day...
Anyhow - that's all for now, see you all when I get home!
