I just finished 'Survivor' by Chuck Palahniuk in one day. It was that good!

I'm almost done with David Foster Wallace's Brief Interviews With Hideous Men which is pretty excellent, as all his writing tends to be. I hardly ever have time to read now though - since I walk to work I don't really have that commute reading time I used to depend on.
Bartender, pour us a dirty martini and keep them coming. This is vintage Jackie Collins and we'll be here till closing.

Aww. I have way too much time on my hands so I've been reading a lot to keep myself out of trouble, among other things... ;)

What's the book about?

(Wow, you know when you type words and you think 'That doesn't look right, but it is'? That's what "among" looks like to me right now, haha)

Well, the last 4 books I've read (from most to least recent) have been:
Wicked by Gregory Maguire
Sahara by Clive Cussler
Polar Shift by Clive Cussler
Cell by Stephen King

Also, whenever I want something short to read, I have Grimm's Fairy Tales with me wherever I go.

Did you like Wicked? That's such a great book. You should check out Son of a Witch next. It definately completes Wicked I think.

i loved wicked :Dand I'll definitely read Son of a Witch next, as soon as I can find a copy. It's not easy to find some books in English in Berlin.

but I think my next book to read will be Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

Whenever I see this question, I alway think of Bridget Jones.
Which, is the last book I read, coincedently. Before that was Chamber of Secrets, but my long standing favorite is "Children of the Dust" by Louise Lawrence. I've had it for as long as I've been hanging around CRO and I still enjoy reading it every so often.

I just finished The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini, which ia about a boy growing up in Afganistan pre Taliban, and during the Tailban..it's fantastic, really takes you on an emotional rollercoaster--I had to put the book down a few time, out of irritation from the main character---THATS how you distingush good writing. :)

I am also looking forward to losing sleep, after the 21st of July.

How is Jones' Diary? Worth reading after seeing the movies?

Kite Runner is amazing.. I read it last year and got my entire choir to read it.. the book looked like hell when it finally got back to me but to get everyone to read awesome. I just finished reading Pledged, it's meant as an expose of Greek life in the US (Sororities, not actual Greeks.) I was drawn to it because I'm in a sorority, though we're not as typical a chapter as the rest of them (I go to a CUNY school, so we don't have a house, don't all look alike and don't hang out as much as we really should) and I wanted to see what it's like for the rest our girls. It's interesting, really interesting- as long as you remember that it's not every girl's experience.

Sabby - Children of the Dust is one of my favourite books by a million miles! I think a certain Maddammarsh reccommended it to me originally, and it never fails to be brilliant!

Latest read is a book called "Fear" by i think Jeff Abbott... but i can't quite remember.... haven't finished it yet... it's good though - trashy and predictable but a good read!
