Halloween.... :: posted by on 31 October 2004 @ 8.40am :: Comments (21)

how did i get here? how the hell?

i was saying that most of the way around america - i was starting to lose track of life by the time i got on the plane home!!

Had an amazing time though - it was a laugh! Thanks to everyone who looked after me - and especially to the ever-amazing Jeannie who put it all together for me Smile

and thanks and hello to the girls on the plane home, Kirsty etc - thanks for talking to me!! lol!

Now - on a more sombre note, I went to the funeral of a friend of mine on Saturday. Stephen Baker was 24 and had been suffering from a brain tumour. He was an incredible guy to know, and an inspiration. He'd taught English in Japan, looked after orphans in Namibia, and backpacked across Austalia and New Zealand. It was a wonderfully uplifting funeral, which is why I wanted to write about it - and to ask you all to have a look at the the UK Brain Tumour Society's website (www.ukbts.org.uk) because although there was very littl anyone could do to help Steve, there's SO many other people out there who can be helped in the future. In all sorts of ways. My mother and I have raised nearly £1700 for them so far, and intend to keep going... So yes - I'm not asking you to give money, unless you want to (in which case do it through them not through us!) but just have a look and learn about Brain Tumours and what this Society do - they're wonderful people.

Thanks!

Seattle photos :: posted by on 24 October 2004 @ 9.37pm :: Comments (9)

Chris is alive (mostly) and having fun on his American holiday; he spent the last two days in Seattle, and we have photos! Head on over to the image gallery to see the new pictures.

In addition, we have a new scan from one of the 2005 calendars - to see it, visit the Azkaban stills gallery.

(As an aside - if you register at the image gallery, you can do nifty things like leave comments and send e-cards! We'd love to hear what you think about the latest round of photos.)

an american tour :: posted by on 9 October 2004 @ 1.28am :: Comments (22)

Just to clarify, since there seems to be some confusion: Chris' forthcoming trip to the US is not a fan trip or a signing trip but rather a personal trip, so he can see a lot of the US and visit some friends to whom he's promised visits for ages. Some other time, perhaps, Chris might come to the US to do fan things - but right now he's just taking a well earned holiday Smile
